I congratulate Apple for providing an excellent piece of software in ITunes. However, on their download site,
they promised international versions of the product for February. We're now operating in March.
At least they're consistent.
They've never made a promise they can't break.

"Note: Versions of iTunes for International English, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Dutch will be available February 2001 followed shortly by Brazilian Portuguese, French Canadian, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Chinese, Swedish and Korean versions..."
why does an mp3 player get slapped for not including skins? In my opinion not having skins should be a plus point, most of them are a waste of time and actually make the application less attractive rather than more.
Developers should spend their time on more productive tasks, like making the interface really good in the first place, than on developing ways for 3rd parties to ruin it.
Who in the h*** sits there and looks at the skin on their application? It's cute for the 1st 5 minutes to be able to install different skins for Windows Media Player.
Visuals are as stupid. When I start up iTunes and put on my headphones, I'm ready to do some real work (or real play). This does NOT mean sit there and stare at my iTunes visual in full-screen mode. That's a waste of time and electricity.
The program is FREE, folks. And guess what? You can buy programs that show visuals on the screen if you really need it that bad. What if Apple released "iTunes Pro" - comes with visuals and skinnability for $25.99 - do you think it would sell? No. It woudl flop just like the other media players that try to get you to but the "pro" version. I wonder how many free:pro versions there are of RealPlayer, WMP, etc..
The only one I would buy is QuickTime and that's only to edit videos and nothing else.

iTunes doesn't include support for visual plugins? Don't believe it. Look in your Visual Plugins folder in the iTunes folder. Download the latest versions of GeForce and Whitecap for SoundJam. Drop them in the folder. Ta-da!
The visual support is there. I bet, if you want, you can rename the files "...for iTunes" and they would still work.
As a recent purchaser of an iSub bass amplifier, I am not using iTunes because I cannot up the bass level of a track, like I can in Soundjam. Quicktime player has a simple and elegant interface with an optional pull down menu to play with the balance & sound. Why doesnt iTunes have this?
Yeah, I saw the visual plugins folder, but how do I switch to one of them?
is to name inported files correctly! When I rip a CD with iTunes, the MP3 files don't have track names in the title! They NEED to have the track number in the filename so that they always load in the right order, what gives!?
As long as you have the track numbers in the MP3 headers (you can edit this in iTunes by pressing cmd-i), they will burn/play in the correct order.
Duh.
Am I missing something about Visuals? Is there a mass of people in the PC/Mac world who start up their MP3 players and watch the screen do funky stuff? Ooooohhh. I always thought that you'd use your computer to play MP3 files while (a) you're doing something else on the computer, listening to music in the background, or (b) you're doing something else off the computer, listening to music in the background. Maybe there's a whole generation of people who go to a party, a guy brings out his laptop, and they all listen to music and spacing out on the screen...

visuals and skins
The AP needs to spend some more time sitting in front of the full screen mode. And why is everyone so skin ahppy these days. There is a profession called Interface Design for a reason. Just as there are architects and doctors. iTunes is a thing of beauty.
