Media 100 today announced the immediate availability of Cleaner MPEG Charger, its software-only MPEG solution for Cleaner 5 that provides comprehensive control over MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 content creation for DVD, Video CD, CD-ROM and digital broadcasting. It includes support for constant bitrate and both single- and dual-pass VBR encoding, both NTSC and PAL ecoding, and support for 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 chromas. Cleaner MPEG Charger is a $500 add-on option for Cleaner 5.
