Morning tech news: Microsoft unveiled a worldwide corporate preview release of Office XP, giving 500,000 corporate customers in more than 30 countries a look at the new version of Microsoft Office for the PC; EBay has begun monitoring items for sale on its site for possible copyright infringement in response to pressure from software makers and intellectual property interests; and Microsoft is nearing its goal of delivering the first public preview of a standalone, next-generation browser, IE 6, although it is debating whether to make IE 6 available only as part of Windows or also as a separate product.

    IE 6 integrated

I say let Microsoft incorporate IE 6 into Windows...that will leave Netscape for the rest of us, and allow the other independant browser developers a chance to gain ground in providing new, better browsers for the millions not able or willing to upgrade to the next windows upgrade. Can you say biting your nose in spite of your face...hehe

    What a joke...

They "proved" in court that IE was an integral part of the OS and it was impossible to remove it, replace it, or ship it separately. Doesn't this clearly demonstrate that they lied under oath? I say send Gates to jail for a while. Put him in Anabese's cell :)

    Earthquake Bill

I turned on the news regarding the Earthquake in Seattle. I watched a news clip where Bill Gates was doing a demo in a conference room. You can see Bill Gates run off the stage as parts of the ceiling was dropping debri. Is this telling Billy something???

    Netscape?!?

Netscape 4.7 seems to be decent for me.
Netscape 6 is the biggest POS and everyone on the net seems to think so as well.
Netscape went way way down hill after being consumed by Aohell.

    Netscape 6 actually works

on windows only...at least I have VirtualPC so I get to see what everyone else sees. It works fine, just another overbloated web browser. I am routing for Opera. With the speed and capabilities of this preview release Opera could end up a winner on the Mac platform.

    RE: Netscape 6 actually..

English actually works, too, pal. Try using it correctly when you get a chance.
