Morning tech news: Microsoft unveiled a worldwide corporate preview release of Office XP, giving 500,000 corporate customers in more than 30 countries a look at the new version of Microsoft Office for the PC; EBay has begun monitoring items for sale on its site for possible copyright infringement in response to pressure from software makers and intellectual property interests; and Microsoft is nearing its goal of delivering the first public preview of a standalone, next-generation browser, IE 6, although it is debating whether to make IE 6 available only as part of Windows or also as a separate product.

I say let Microsoft incorporate IE 6 into Windows...that will leave Netscape for the rest of us, and allow the other independant browser developers a chance to gain ground in providing new, better browsers for the millions not able or willing to upgrade to the next windows upgrade. Can you say biting your nose in spite of your face...hehe
