The Sims .zip Utility

Sam Kington has made available a utility for "Macifying" downloaded .zip files for The Sims. The utility, which performs entirely online by using either a local or remote .zip file, converts standard Zip files into Zip files that "will not be heinously munched by Mac converters." Mac users of The Sims have been forced to deal with such a problem due to the Mac's shortening of file names longer than 31 characters which can result in some files, whose names are identical through the first 31 characters, to be deleted without warning.
