Version 1.3 of Entourage Archive adds an option to automatically remove archived messages. The $15 shareware utility for archiving emails and attachments Microsoft's Entourage application (part of Office 2001) has options to export mail to several different formats (which can be optionally imported into FileMaker Pro).
