UMAX recently began shipping the PowerLook 1100 and PowerLook 2100XL professional-caliber scanners. The PowerLook 1100 offers native FireWire connectivity for improved performance, 3.4Dmax with a 1200x2400 dpi optical resolution; while the PowerLook 2100XL can accommodate documents up to 12"x17" and features 3.4Dmax with an optical resolution of up to 800x1600 dpi. Three different software bundles are available for each scanner that dictate the product's pricing, starting at $999.
