    nice

I downloaded it using Monica. (Monica is a great piece of work. Go get it.)

This is my second site visiting and so far it's faster than IE or Netscape (any versions).

And it has a professional look that I was worried about it having.

    I'm impressed.

    Crazy fast

Damn, I was downloading a 10 MB file from Apple at a pokey 20-30 KB/sec... fired up Opera, and I downloaded the same file *at the same time* at 400-500 KB/sec. AMAZING.

Anyone know how it does this magic?

Oh, and browsing is faster all around... this is a real piece of work... and just an alpha release!

    Really impressed

I have to admit, I was septic at first, but I'm really impressed by Opera for Mac, really fast, magnitude faster than IE or Netscape, or event iCab. Up/Down arrow keys are so fun to use now ! I don't mind paying for such a good product, and its event just a alpha :)

Could anyone post this to their homepage? Opera's FTP is down.

    Opera is fast!

I'm also impressed. It's always bugged me how the PC seems faster (responsiveness) than the Mac in simple web browsing. This is as close to winbloze as I've seen a Mac. Very fast and only an Alpha.

    Quick Observations

Looks good so far, it renders the box acid test okay, but fails to render alpha channel translucency in PNG files. PNG is useless without that.

    no kidding!

The first page I loaded was so shockingly fast I thought it was cached (but that couldn't be! it's launched for the first time). After trying out Netscape 6.01, IE5, iCab and Mozilla 0.8, this is a breath of fresh air! This IS one fast browser, and I'm loving it!

    GO OPERA!
