Apple sues Creative
Apple has filed a second copyright lawsuit and a trade complaint in the US against Creative Technology, according to Channel NewsAsia. The company originally countersued the MP3 player manufacturer, after Creative first sued Apple for infringing on the "Zen Patent": in early May, Creative filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission and lawusit alleging that iPods and iPod nanos that infringe on U.S. Patent 6,928,433. The latest report says that the latest lawsuit claims Creative is infringing three Apple patents relating to using icons, and displaying and editing data. Apple is asking for cash damages and a court order to stop Creative from further breaches and is asking the International Trade Commission in Washington to block imports of Creative's music players.
