The Wall Street Journal reports that Pixar Animation Studios, headed by Apple CEO Steve Jobs, is hopeful that it can increase its output of feature films to one per year. After moving Pixar headquarters to a "huge central atrium housing everything from the cafeteria to the bathrooms" late last year, Jobs notes he spends at least one day each week at the Pixar campus.

    their stock is cyclical

they drop in value when they're between films, because they aren't generating revenue from it (well, technically, they've been paid by Disney, but the reall money comes in when tickets go on sale). Then, after the movie is released, they enjoy 1-2 quarters of good profits from licensing and such. Their stock is all over the place; it's a matter of knowing when to buy & sell.

The Motley Fool (I think it was them, might have been CNNfn) had an interesting article a year or two ago about Pixar and how to invest in it.

So, when will RenderMan be brought back to the Mac? After OS X ships? How about a special deal: Maya, RenderMan, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and Photoshop for $4999?
