Polaroid medium-format digital film scanner

Polaroid yesterday unveiled the SprintScan 120 medium-format digital film scanner, which offers a true optical resolution of 4000 dpi and both SCSI and FireWire connections.

The SprintScan 120 accepts 120 film formats and provides automatic advancement of six-image, 35 mm filmstrips and four-image 35 mm slides. The standard $2,800 is bundled with PolaColor Insight Pro software, which "automatically removes and eliminates surface flaws, such as dust and fingerprints, and features automatic image sizing and saving scan settings, while the "Plus" version, which is $3,250, includes Lasersoft SilverFast Ai with tools for real-time image adjustment, IT8 calibration, and ICC compliant workflow. Both versions are available now.
