Tech: Napster fate, Demo 2001, more

Early morning tech news: the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals will announce its verdict in the Napster lawsuit by 1 PM EST today; several new products from popular companies will be on display at Demo 2001 in Phoenix this week; hackers who penetrated a computer system at the recent World Economic Forum and gained sensitive information on 27,000 prominent attendees called the hack "easy"; and Rambus' patent-infringement lawsuit against memory makers Micron and Hyndai begins this week.
