PowerBook G4 delays: BTO, European delivery

One day after we reported limited retail availability (and delays to mail order resellers), readers are (again) reporting delays of their Titanium PowerBook G4s, including BTO orders placed on January 9th and delivery of the PowerBook G4 in Europe....
[Justin Cordesman] "Apple sent me a fun new email last night informing me that my BTO Titanium has been delayed yet again. First time I called, they said it would ship on the 1st. I called on the first and they said the 8th, now they say BY THE 24TH. To put this in perspective, I ordered about an hour and a half after Jobs announced the thing..."
[European Reader] "Just called the German apple store to order a Powerbook
G4 500Mhz. They told me that I have to wait at least 45 Days !!! (until april). Until now Apple US gave no statement (to the german apple store) when the
powerbook would be available for german (european) customers. The same story as 1999 with the Lombard powerbook. At that time I had to wait 73 days. VERY VERY disappointing !!!"

Received my e-mail delay notice this morning - shipment expected Feb. 24th. Checked CompUSA and nothing from Wichita to Tulsa to Plano, TX.
