Volition's Jason Scott, scriptwriter on 3D role-playing game Summoner, is the subject of an interview in part one of GameSpot's feature on the game. Scott admits that an early decision by him to include a large amount of Non-Player Characters (NPCs) turned out to be a major pain over the life of the project. "...the task of tracking hundreds of NPCs through dozens of script tables turned out to be a nightmare," says Scott. "The overall effect was successful and unlike anything seen before in an RPG, but I'm never going there again."
