New Nikon SLR cameras due later this year

Nikon Corp has introduced two new FireWire-based professional SLR digital cameras. The $5,500 D1X due out this spring features a 5.47-megapixel CCD and offers resolutions up to 3,008x1,960, while the $4,500, 2.74-megapixel D1H, offers offers the ability to shoot up to 40 shots at 5fps, is due out this summer. (Toshiba also announced new digital cameras this week.)

    Maxium number of pics?

    Forty shots at 5 FPS and then what? Empty click, click, click? Maybe I'll shoot with my Sony TRV9000 camcorder at 15fps for AN HOUR straight (that's 54,000 images) and settle for the lesser quality pics.
