Carry case for Mac mini

TOM BIHN, a designer, manufacturer and retailer of laptop bags, has created a new design specifically for the Mac mini. The protects the Mac mini from scrapes, scratches, drops and dings with a .25" thick enclosure of closed-cell foam that cushions all sides of the computer. It features a splash-proof zipper and a handle for easy carrying and fits the Mac mini "like a glove," and does not add significant bulk. The company says the bag is in production now and is available for pre-order; it is expected to ship in mid-February 2005. The eM2 retails for $40 and is available in six color combinations: Black/Steel, Black/Wasabi, Crimson/Steel, Steel/Crimson, Deep Blue/Wasabi, and Wasabi/Black.

    This is cool

I was thinking that the Mac mini may be a cost effective alternative for people who like to bring their work home with them, but don't need the type of all-inclusive portable feature set found in a laptop. This bag fits that bill perfectly.

    Where's the room

Where's the room for the power cord though?

For me, I would buy an extra power cord, and leave it in place at the office and home. No crawling around on the floor when I needed to move the Mini: just unplug, pack, and go.

Bonus: whoever steals the bag is pissed off because it doesn't come with a cord.

    Second Power Brick

Yeah, it would be nice if there was space for the power brick too ... Does anyone have information on how easy or difficult it would be to purchase an additional power brick/cord from Apple for the Mac Mini? I am waiting for delivery of my new Mini, and like that idea ... but I have never tried to order just a power brick/cord before.

    power brick

as with a notebook, i keep an ac adapter (power brick) at home and at work. but sometimes, you want to go other places with your powerbook (or mac mini) and want/need to carry your ac adapter with you. the mac mini doesn't run off of battery like the powerbook, so you must have the ac adapter.

i have a couple of bags from tom bihn, and they put a lot of thought into their designs. i'm sure they'll design space for the ac adapter into this bag - more than likely in the stretchy outside pocket.

has anyone seen one of these mac mini's? does the ac adapter look like the one for the powerbook/ibook/ipod?
