WSJ readers weigh in on Apple 'Halo Effect'

Wall Street Journal columnists Tim Hanrahan and Jason Fry on Monday said that the combination of the iPod's popularity and the increasing worry over viruses, security holes and spyware in Windows PCs "will lead to the second coming of Apple Computer as a home-computing power." In response to that column, WSJ received countless emails with stories from new Mac users: iPod owners affected by the "halo effect," and non-iPod owners who switched for other reasons.

All hail The Beast, M$, and its boxmaking bitch, Dell. Who will do business with The Beast? Oh, wait, there are better working alternatives? Well, uh, oh, yeah, they cost too much. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

Seems like The Beast is taking too many hits these days with people finally seeing the obvious, that there are better things out there. Not everyone will switch (sheep should be slaughtered) but nice to see some folks waking up.

Are you sure? Maybe you should start by turning the paper upside down and get your GED. Walt Mossberg of WSJ is one of the biggest and consistent supports of Apple out there. Care to revise your statement?

And for the glasspusher, zealots should be slaughtered with the sheep.
