My 3G dock developed a loose connection in the line-out socket a month or two ago. Apple replaced it under warranty. By discontinuing this line now, I think a lot of 3G owners will dockless pretty soon. Glad I got my replacement when I did.

Why are they stopping producion? Too expensive? Is there something that will take its place? What will they offer in the way of Line Output?
