iBooks for Oregon students
An Oregon school board on Monday gave district staff the with Apple that will place iBooks in the hands of every student and teacher at Springfield Middle School and Gateways Learning Center early next year: "The board authorized a contract not to exceed $800,000, which will cover the cost of the machines as well as ongoing technical support and training. Much of the money will come from federal Title I funds, earmarked for schools with high percentages of low-income students."
