Rio Carbon 5GB ships
Rio has announced a limited edition version of its new "business card-sized" Rio MP3 player. The company said it has created 500 numbered-versions of the drive-based from I.D. Magazine.
Also taking direct aim Apple, the company is touting the larger 5G capacity (vs. 4GB for the iPod mini). The Rio Carbon also features a longer 20-hour battery life, USB 2.0 connectivity, MP3/WMA file support, voice recording, and more. It will be available later this week for $250, the same price as Apple's iPod mini (the supply of which is extremely constrained).

Awww, mom!
I can see the kids opening their ipod shaped birthday presents...after all, they asked for an iPod, and now the exciting day has arrived!
But imagine the disappointment when they open the Rio instead. Mom and Dad screwed up AGAIN!!
"But Timmy, it's got a bigger capacity, the Best Buy salesman told us! And he said Apple is a 'flakey' company, so he suggested the Rio...doesn't it do the same thing as the iPod?"
Timmy then runs away and becomes a s** slave in Bangkok...all because his parents bought a Rio...
