Tech: Intel price cuts; Lucent, Time cut jobs

Morning tech news: Intel plans to cut its desktop chip prices by more than 40 percent; now that the merger between AOL and Time Warner is complete, Time Warner laid off about 2,000 employees, bringing total cuts to 2,400; and Lucent Technologies has posted a first-quarter loss and said it would cut 10,000 jobs as part of a plan to cut $2 billion in expenses.
