Native Aqua interface for Mozilla Gecko
updated 03:41 pm EST, Tue January 23, 2001
Adam Schuster has begun an effort to bring a native interface to the Mozilla Gecko engine for Mac OS X, in his project called Q.BATi: "Currently in the planing stages (we are trying to design an intuitve, native, interface for an OS X browser, preferably shirking common "standard" browser ideas) Q.BATi could use any help we can get porting Mozilla to a MachO (rather than the current Fizzilla push towards a Carbon port)."

The above statement is misleading. A Carbon application can be CFM/PEF based or dyld/MachO based. All Carbon applications written by Apple for example, care MachO based. (The Finder is MachO based).
Some people think that somehow Carbon applications are not native for MacOS X. That couldn't be further from the truth.
