Those fine people of delaware pronounce it "New-ark", not "ne-wark" like the New Jersey city is called.

I have wondered for a couple years why Apple didn't do this sooner. Christiana Mall is a "destination" mall for folks from neighboring states due to its size and the lack of sales tax. The savings on a system and monitor purchase is over $200, for example.
This also will give good Apple exposure to many who have never even tried a Mac.

It's called tax evasion... many states have a "use tax" law.. if you are going to use the product in a state that charges tax, you are required to pay the tax for that state.. and yes I know.. "it's only if they catch me" *no better than the music piraters*.

Also, I'm sure DE would like it more if you would take that $200 savings and spend it at their local racetracks/slot parlors (you'll be hard-pressed to find anyone at the track, though).

So Happy!

I alerted MacNN to this and was so happy when I saw the signs in the mall and then confirmed it on the Apple Website. There are two stores in "New-ark" that sell Apple's now. CompUSA on RT. 202 and Delaware Computer Exchange off of 202 on Naaman's Road. DECE is Mac only and while their service is good, they aren't an Apple Store. I've bought two computers there and converted three other people and the others weren't impressed with the service. I fear that the Apple Store will put them out of buisness as it is only about a 10 mile drive from DECE to the Christiana Mall.
This will be the closest store yet to me from Salem. King of Prussia was an hour drive, Sagemore was about 50 minutes. Christiana Mall is 20 minutes, and I go there anyway for all of my major shopping. (Sure, I claim it on my taxes:)
