Tech: Doubleclick cleared, CA beat estimates

Early morning tech news: The FTC has closed an investigation into DoubleClick, after concluding that the Internet advertising company did not misuse personal information collected about consumers. Enterprise software maker Computer Associates announced it earned $247 million, or 42 cents a share, beating analysts expectations of 40 cents; and IBM claims it has developed software that prevents consumers from making unauthorized copies of music downloaded from the Internet.
