    Adobe ImageReady

You can also save files in Adobe ImageReady by saving the Gif file with the ADAPTIVE rather than the Perceptual option.

DreamWeaver UltraDev also has a problem with dragging across text. Often, it highlights part of the drag, then eventually won't highlight at all!

I didn't see either one mentioned in the Top Tech notes.

    That drag problem

I noticed the problem with selecting/dragging text too when Internet Explorer is running(Dreamweaver 4, MacOS 9.1, IE 5.01). If I quit Internet Explorer, it goes away. Annoying.

    DW at odds with 9.1

There's an extensive forum thread at MacFixIt on this topic:

As of right now, it seems the GIF display problem might have something to do with Apple changing color palattes in 9.1. The text selection problem is still more mysterious, but it does seem connected to what applications you have running alongside Dreamweaver -- personally I find the same problem with IE 5, though others claim different apps do it for them.

The Macromedia Dreamweaver Newsgroup discussion also has information on this topic. Subscription instructions can be found on the Macromedia support site:
