That rag is the worst paper in New York, I wouldn't line a bird cage with it.
Microsoft FUD from afar?
It would be interesting to know if the NY Post is in bed with any media companies that are planning on or have already launched their own music download service.
It would certainly be a good motive for FUD.
Wasn't this the same paper that reported the Apple-McDonald's sweepstakes which was supposed to give away a billion songs?
I hope you media folks that were so quick to pick up the FUD, be responsible enough to update your story.

Agreed. The POst is a garbage newspaper. It is at times only a shade above tabloid trash. I don't believe anything they have to say on this. Though only time will tell if prices do increase or not at some point. Hopefully Apple can make the idiotic music industry wake up and have some sense beyond pure profits.
Thanks... I so NOT paying $1.25/track.. not to mention.. I have to pay sales tax for each download.
I have seen at least 4 news sites today post stories about this apparent hike in prices. The Register has gone as far as to say the price hikes are a done deal:

Is it just me or does it seem like a smear campaign is being conducted against Apple? First it was the supposed trojan horse that was released a couple weeks ago, then the recent security update claims, now claims that Apple is raising iTMS prices.
Apple's PR agency better start doing something, all this BS FUD is really starting to stink...

its just your basic anti-mac propaganda. i dont know why windows hate mac users so much. they envy our choice in computer/software/os yet all they do is belittle and try to make us look bad. its not our fault people are stupid and feel better in the majority...even though the majority is worse. with iTunes and ITMS being the best of their respective breeds is is only logical that the pc universe try and make the apple universe look bad. ITMS is really puzzling though in the respect that PC users should be just as happy with it as mac users. it is the #1 store...bar none. yet people want to see it fail. s**** em.
