Apple wins awards at NAB

Apple's also received a Government Video Salute and DTV Pick of Show. The 2004 Vidy Awards, Digital Television/TV Broadcast Awards and Government Video Salutes are presented in recognition of outstanding achievement in the advancement of the art and science of video technology; the AIMs recognize technological innovations that "best address current and upcoming issues in the electronic media industry by boosting efficiency, increasing user flexibility and creativity, and lowering cost.

Show attendees selected the AIM winners during balloting April 19 and 20. The top five products within each of the Content Creation, Content Management and Content Delivery categories were recognized Wednesday during the NAB Technology Luncheon, sponsored by Thales Broadcast & Multimedia. A panel of editors from more than 20 industry publications will review the AIM-winning technologies and other new products exhibited at NAB to pick the 2004 "Editors' Choice" award winners on April 29.
