NAMM: Waves announces Renaissance Voice

Waves, Ltd also made two announcements at the NAMM Winter show in Anaheim, CA:

  1. Its $1200 L2-Ultramaximizer software Audio Processor, for Digidesign's Pro Tools 24|Mix TDM systems. The software features 48-bit internal processing and the ability to perform high quality re-quantization to 24, 22, 20, 18, and 16-bit outputs as well as its proprietary brickwall look-ahead peak limiter algorithms and IDR (Increased Digital Resolution) dithering technology.
  2. Its Renaissance Voice processor is now available as a Digidesign TDM (Mac only) product, or as a native application for both Macs and PCs. Renaissance Voice is optimized for vocal tracks and has a new two-button interface for controlling the newly designed compressor, gate, and precision limiter with automatic gain staging for clip-free maximization of vocals.
