Apple to set open flagship store in San Francisco

Apple is set to open its "flagship" San Francisco Store Saturday morning at 10 am. With people already standing in line, we have our own Apple Store SF Pre-Opening Photo Gallery. Several MacNN readers provided photos and a short video from Thursday of the store during its pre-opening phase. Apple will provide T-shirts to the first 2500 customers in line and is offering special black product bags with more than $600 worth of Apple products for $250.

Special thanks to Dennis Callahan for the photo and news tip.

No wonder Mac users are viewed as losers. These people have nothing better to do with their time than to stand in line at the local shrine in hopes of acquiring a sacred t-shirt.

I sure hope my PC using friends don't hear about this. They have tried to label me a fanatic for years.

People already standing in line? Where? I live Downtown San Francisco and regularly pass that route. I just came from the store at 6.30pm today and there is NO line at all. The store is closed for customers, but people with Apple passes can go inside. I repeat, there is no line. There are only curious passer-bys and onlookers that you cant count viewing the well lit store.

Yeah, seriously, I can't believe they wouldn't give out free Adobe CS boxes, iSights, and G5s.

Are you standing in line? Then calm down.

Pity your life is so controlled by the opinions of your friends, though.

I could be there and stand in line! 250 grab bag? How does that work?
I know 600-1000 dollars worth of stuff, but they are only going to have 250 of them?

And, I was one of those losers standing in line for Win 95.
Hey, but I finally woke up.
