    first and...

I thought that we were supposed to give a pink Ipod mini to our loved one. Give us a 30 rebate on the ipod mini and finally get it down to it's correct price point.

    Can someone verify this?

Before confirming the order, it says the claim code is invalid.

Does this work with educational discounts?

    Claim codes?

MacMinute gives a claim code. Is this a claim code offer or an all-around offer with no codes attached?

Typically, these discounts get the commercial price down to the Education price (same with the 10% discount offer), so they don't extend it to both. It's like the $700 PowerBook trade in offer not being $700 for education.

    iPod mini

I just ordered pink one for my loved one, along with a dock and car cassette adapter. Brings the total to just over $300. Woo-hoo! $30 discount brings the iPod mini to $219. (It really should be $199 though.) No engraving for me though - I understand that limits it's value on eBay a few years down the road.

Perhaps the price would be more acceptable if Apple just threw in a free gift certificate for $50 at the iTunes Music Store... that way everybody wins?

Ah well, now I just need to wait for my (er, I mean "my loved one's") iPod mini to arrive.
