Pike 7 beta: open-source programming language

Roxen has also released Pike 7 Beta, its open-source, general-purpose programming language for Mac OS X Public Beta with which developers can build applications on Mac OS X and deploy Pike server applications across existing server installations such as Mac OS X Server, Sun Solaris, Windows 2000, and Linux. Pike 7 will support Mac OS X when it is released in early 2001.
