    like the cube

think we'll see a video like that with every new product?

    Who makes them? Chiat/Day?

    yes, most likely

No doubt, except it's not scripted, they cut together the best parts of the little chats with Jonathan, Phil, et al.

Note that if a brand new consumer/educational product comes along, that product's "5-minute video" may be a bit more targeted towards kids/teachers/parents, as opposed to the "pro" flavor we've seen with "Cube" and "Ti".

    Hi,

Anyone can tell me the URL of the movie so I can download it tonight (using Monica). I'm on a slow modem connection and this movie is like 12 MB.

    Thanks all.

TV ad should be like this

Has anyone noticed that these 5-minute commercials are about 1,000 times better than Apple's usual tv ads? I understand you can get more in-depth in 5 minutes than you can in 30 seconds, but I think that Apple's 30-second ads should get away from mice buzzing around and Jeff Goldblum droning away, and feature Jonathan Ive or whoever talking about how the new Powerbook is made of titanium and why - because it lighter than aluminum but stronger than steel. Or comparing the new Powerbook's screen size to that of the typical notebook. Apple should give potential customers hard facts about why Apple products are superior instead of playing "White Room" or "Blue Suede Shoes" for 30 seconds over a picture of a rotating iMac.

Yes, I noticed this too. Did you also see that, at least in parts, the video is reversed left to right? The store names on the awnings are "backwards".

Hard to notice in full motions. HAad to stop the frames to see it.

    That video...

That video is the one with BT in it, right? The one they showed at Macworld? (I'm on a freakishly slow connection... don't want to d/l it.) BT is a really good musician, and I'm glad Apple recognized his pro-Mac stance and had him in the video.
