Larger Quake III: Arena Altivec overhaul

After indicating that the Velocity Engine (Altivec) enhanced version of Quake III: Arena 1.27h could be released as early as Thursday, id Software's Graeme Devine made a post to the Quake3World forums revealing that he s putting more work into the Altivec overhaul. "I've been encouraged to add more than a sprinkling of altivec operations into the code," says Devine, "so I'm about half way through with a larger overhaul. I'll carry on."
