Apple releases Backup 2.0 utility for .Mac

updated 11:30 pm EST, Wed November 5, 2003

Apple posted a final version of , its backup utility for .Mac users. Version 2 lets you select any folder on a hard drive as a backup destination, including FireWire hard drives, network servers, iPods, and other mounted volumes. It also offers support for support for third-party CD and DVD Drives and lets you schedule backups to iDisk and hard drives--with support for incremental backups (i.e., copying changed files only). It requires Mac OS X 10.2.6 or later and requires a full .Mac account; however, DVD-RAM disks are not supported.

Apple says that Backup 1.1 users must upgrade to Backup 2 to use these new features: backing up to hard drive, backing up to OS-supported external optical drives, disc spanning, and some QuickPicks.

Hahahaha wouldn't that be funny? To backup to a firewire 800 drive that didn't have the firmware update?

Anyways, FP and goodnight!

That depends how you define humour. But then I suppose as a troll I'd expect you find even terminal illnesses and paedophilia amusing.
