    definitely not

The schools I went to sure as h*** weren't about education. I was bored out of my mind from the beginning of 3rd grade all the way through high-school. It isn't until I got to college that I found anything remotely interesting or challenging. This is just typical, most adults talk about giving kids a good education, but lookout if it will cost us even an extra ten bucks a year...

Apple *demanded* an immediate decision? They are doing that to a potential $2 million client? Gutsy.

    And who's to blame?

The iBook initiative was discussed at school board and PTA meeting for two months, yet everyone is up in arms for not being aware of this plan.

Just goes to show how involved those parents are in their childrens education.

    Bad parents! Bad, bad parents!!!

    Not Gutsy.

How would you like to be the EDU rep for the area, Holding $2mil (potentially more if it's sold at non-edu or quantity pricing) worth of product that may not get paid for?

    I wonder

If we can do the same, I was not consulted where my 87 billion was going. For 87 billion we can KILL EVERYONE ON IRAQ, and never be bothered by them again!

    cheaper = better

The only thing schools seem to care about is money.

the cheaper solution is always the most used by most educators.

    $2 million for Macs
    or $1.75 millino for PCs

    easy choice.

    re: I wonder

    EXACTLY

With the BILLIONS of our dollars spent on illegal wars with countries who are no more in the wrong than others we are friends with, what is 2 million bucks for something that will actually do some GOOD.

    What a crock...
