Display-to-go 4MB now Mac compatible

updated 05:21 pm EST, Fri January 12, 2001

With the release of Mac OS 9.1, Margi Systems' Display-to-Go 4MB is now compatible with the Mac. The Display-to-Go 4MB allows PowerBook users to connect digital (DVI) or analog (VGA) external displays.

    Display to Go

Does this mean that an Apple Display (e.g., 22" Cinema Display) can be used with the new Macintosh Titanium "Mercury" Powerbook?

    not really

Only if the Cinema Display has a DVI connector(i.e. the original set of Cinema Displays).

    Yes, w/Belkin converter

If you get the Belkin DVI to ADC (Apple display connector) and the Display-to-Go, then yes, theoretically, you could connect one of the new Apple displays to your 'Book.

    No w/Belkin converter

Since when is there a DVI to ADC converter, I only know about the ADC to DVI one.
You cannot (at the moment) convert a ADC monitor for use with DVI or VGA for that matter, although I heard a rumour that Griffin Tech. is working on that for MW July (should be $100).
Belkin does not list DVI to ADC on their website, Margi mentioned a possible ADC cable for their card some months ago, though.
