4D, Inc. today announced the availability of WebSTAR Server Suite 4.4 Beta for the Mac. WebSTAR 4.4 will offer users integration between WebSTAR Server Suite and 4th Dimension relational databases, support for Tomcat Java Servlet and JSP technology, a customizable web-based mail interface, built-in FlexMail form-processing utilities, and stronger encryption for international customers. Several improvements to the core WebSTAR Server are also included to improve overall performance and reliability.The beta, which has been demonstrated during the past week at Macworld Expo San Francisco, is now available for download. Great to see a customizable web mail. This is a great selling point if you offer hosting and mail services. I am in fact currently on a PC having just checked my email on a very very fast web mail system. No ads, no junk mail, unlike hotmail and yahoo.
