Avid today announced a lower-price version of its , its digital video studio. Reduced by over $1000, it offers over 100 real-time effects, including automatic expert color correction, moving titles, picture-in-picture effects, customizable interface and keyboard workflow, and a bundle of Boris Graffiti LTD for 2D title creation and animation and Sorenson Squeeze 3 Lite for high-quality encoding to Windows Media 9, QuickTime, Flash, MPEG-2, and other formats. It is expected to ship on November 15 for $700. Upgrades from Avid Exprss DV 3.5 and lower to Xpress Pro are $300.
