Lets just say that affordable g4 laptop for just a hair over a grand is a wonderful thing. Makes me consider selling my iBook 600 for one. I love it.

The iBook is great. Yahoo! Its tough to beat this on price and have a better machine. Apple is doing very well in the portable market.

I just bought an eMac 10 days ago (G4 1Ghz Combo model) for $1099! Had I waited long enough, I could've saved $300! GRRRRRRRR....

My thoughts

10/22, 09:10am reply

Personally, I think Apple should have 1 laptop model at $1000 even or less. That price level is an important benchmark in value machines, and for Apple to not have a place there is significant. $100 extra is $100 too much for many possible switchers.

The eMacs are nice though. 1GHz G4 for $799...

Hi,
Check on the apple store the sales terms, I think that if prices go down in a certain period of time for the same box you can get money back.

Is the 12" PB worth it?

10/22, 09:16am reply

I was thinking of upgrading my 12" PB to the rev b version and maybe even the new 15", but now I've got to take a closer look at the iBooks.

I bought the eMac from an independent reseller so I highly doubt they'll give me the $300 difference. Damn... :(
