LANDesk Software today announced , an update to its IT management solution that offers expanded inventory management, improved software distribution, enhanced console usability, improved database efficiency and scalability, and new business intelligence functions. It adds role-based administration and increased Mac OS X support, which provides software license monitoring, application policy management, patented LANDesk Targeted Multicast technology to Mac OS X computers running Mac OS X Jaguar or newer--allowing IT to manage Macintosh computers with the same tools and processes they use to manage their other computers. Pricing starts at $90.
