With 8x burning you can burn a full DVD in around 7-8 minutes, so 3 minutes to burn a DVD probably isn't too far off in the future.
If the content is strictly for DATA, then the time to burn is accurate.
If the content is DVD Video, then your concerns for burn time will never matter to how fast the DVD drive gets! Since it relies on your CPU to encode the entire disc in MPEG2 before burning takes place.
if you already encoded it to MPEG2 with compressor or cleaner?
