Sonnet Technologies today announced its new , the latest addition to the Sonnet Tempo line of PCI host adapters. This adapter allows Macintosh owners to take advantage of the market's latest offerings in Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) storage technologies. With data transfer rates of up to 150MBytes/sec or 1.5Gbits/sec, the product performance is that of SCSI but "without the SCSI price." The PCI card will be available later this year for $100.
