    No Subscription-Ware here

I for one will not be paying an anual fee for an e-com solution when there are open souce ones available for free. If it was a one time charge with paid upgrades I might be intereseted but I won't lock myself in to paying them yearly.

    What is eShox Thinking?

Before version 3.0 I would have seriously considered and purchased their product. The product was a one time purchase and could be used without restrictions by the owner as far as I can remember. I could be wrong. Correct me!

Now with their NEW licensing policy you really have to wonder what they are thinking. Keyed to One Domain, Huh? $100/yr. renewal, What?

As sophisticated software becomes radically cheaper and some opensource software makes even very expensive products look lame in comparison, you have to wonder what these guys are thinking. Good Luck!

There are numerous php solutions on the market that WILL WORK in OSX. Why eShox and the Mac Community push this one as your only solution is beyond me. Other less expensive solutions offer Affiliate Programs which I believe eShox does not yet have.

If eShox ever goes back to a reasonable licensing structure and brings in Affiliate programs, I will then reconsider. Until then, I am very satisfied using a php solution from somehwere else that cost a one time fee on par with what they charge for a yearly renewal.

    $100/yr?

OH MY GOD! The travesty! The horror!

    I have to pay $8.33 a MONTH?

    Those greedy b*******!

    (uh, not.)

Oh, and the open source code is there at their site for the taking. SO - you don't have to pay for it.

    Geez. People are so dense.

    eShox is a blatant ripoff

The only difference between osCommerce and eShox is that they have implemented a serial number scheme to prevent theft of something THEY have stolen from open source. If you want a shopping cart, just download it from osCommerce.com
The code that they have released on their website as "opensource" is just to cover their butts, but otherwise it is quite useless because they do not include the html files necessary to run the cart.
