Arboretum Systems has released (formerly known as Montage), a Mac OS X native multimedia editor that offers an innovative trackless, free-form interface. It allows the seamless combination of video, audio and text for the creation of full DV quality multimedia content. Version 1.2.3 offers improved stability, a free Reverb plugin (in addition to the other included Hyperprism plug-ins), and corrects an attenuation export problem in Ray Gun. The software is available for $80 ($60 discount) through the end of October.
