- Pixture Studio has updated its freeware QuickImageCM 2.2, a Contextual menu plugin that makes it possible to view/edit/print/convert image files without launching any applications. - SubRosaSoft has released DesktopSun 1.0, a freeware utility for Mac OS X which places realtime pictures of the sun from the SOHO observatory as the desktop. DesktopEarth, also free, downloads realtime global cloud maps, then superimposes them on the map of your choice of Earth views (political, geographic, elevation etc...) and places it as the desktop.
