    Oh that's nice!

Should have waited til it was finished testing before they released it! Is this Microsoft all of a sudden?????

    Ridiculous

They post it to Software Update where thousands of people probably installed it, then they realize it's f**ked up and pull it? This isn't the first time this has happened either...

    This is all...

The Developer fault... The get a seeded copy of 10.2.8 and they didn't notice all these bugs!

    That sucks!

I haven't experienced any of the 10.2.8 oddities (knock on wood!) but would like to know the specifics of why Apple pulled it so I don't do anything else that screws the pooch while waiting for the updated update.

    great, now what

ok, great so now what we do if we've already installed it? will there be a fix for it, or do we have to reinstall the OS?

    This is all. . .

Apple is responsible not the developers. Shifting responsibility seems to be the norm these days. Does anyone have the balls to stand up and admit when they f**k up? What a bunch of whimps.

    I'll just wait...

a couple of days after Apple posts iCal & iSync updates.

Wonder how long before they repost 10.2.8 with the fixins.

I'm just thankful it was a free download and not a now-completely useless boxed Panther that cost $130+tx.

    ahhh yes...

aahhh yess... just like back with Mac OS 8.6.1 .... anybody remember that? You can't find a dang thing about that OS anymore, but I have it on an old crashed iMac HD.

    no problems here

its a little bothersome they pulled this, but i havnt experienced any problems. in fact my system (especially the finder) runs much better. 10.2.5 and 10.2.6 were rather sluggish on my PB. applications would sometimes hang when trying to bring them to the front. that is no longer happening. safari seems to run a tad better as well.
i too am wondering will apple rerelease 10.2.8, patch it, or 10.2.9. who knows. bad quality control on apple's part.
