Like Cleardock or something else from Unsanity, or third party menubar, or dock item, uninstall it first before applying 10.2.8. Many have reported problems with these.

I updated my "tower" (G4/867Mhz) last night, no problems. Ran XBench, even got + 2 points! Tried to update my iBook before I travel later this week and no showee in the update panel. If there are battery problems, then I guess it's good I waited. Hopefully, 10.2.8a soon??

I had my parents update to 10.2.8 and they are having OS 9 app issues as well as Internet Explorer Crashing on startup... Sounds like I should have waited. This could be a loooong weekend of restoration... (Installed fine on G4MP 500 though :-P)

It's frustrating that Apple posts updates that are broken -- seems like they're making a habit of that! Wake up guys in Software Developement!! --Spend a little more time in R&D before releasing it to the public! Shame on Apple!
