    fifth level...

of high school? Those crazy canadians. What is that 9th, 10th, 10th, 11th, 12th? Just for good measure? Two extra years to learn french verb conjugations? Relax, just a little joke. This is awesome news, though. It will be interesting to see how these technology initiatitives play out, in terms of enhancing education and how teachers use them (and deal with the inevitable problems like p***, file sharing, messaging...)

    all right

    Quebec high school grades

In Quebec, High School begins in Grade 7 and ends in Grade 11. Grade 7 is called "Secondary 1" and Grade 11 is "Secondary 5". Grade 12 and the first year of college/university have been replaced by two years of a half-way college system called CEGEP. The CEGEP system deals with intro-university material while keeping the class sizes small. Overall, it's a great system.

    voila...
