CPC debuts MacCaption for Mac OS X

CPC's for Mac OS X is a new version of the company's video captioning software for Mac OS X. It can import from a text file and automatically generate individual captions and features "many icons to further format the captions and position them to cut down the time for caption preparation to 1/3 of the time it used to take using CCaptionPro software." It also offers visual closed caption synchronization and positioning, Drag & Drop DV and MPEG closed caption decoding, MPEG closed caption encoding, automatic MPEG subtitle file generation, and realtime DV/FireWire closed caption display. The DV version is $3,000, while the MPEG version is $4,000.
