Plextor, shipping its internal , later this month. Designed for burning DVD+R/RW (8x4x12x), DVD-R/RW (4x2x8x), and CD-R/RW (40x24x40x) discs, it offers a dual interface that supports both USB 2.0 and FireWire. The drive features a 2MB buffer and includes Roxio Toast 5 Lite as well as a 30-day trial version of Dantz Retrospect data backup software. The internal IDE version is $300, while the external version is $360.
