NEC intros new 15-inch, 17-inch LCD monitors

NEC today announced two new NEC AccuSync LCD monitors: the 15-inch ($440). Engineered to enhance user productivity and comfort, the displays feature the latest thin frame design and advanced screen performance traditionally only seen in high- end models. They feature a brightness levels of 250 cd/m2, 400:1 contrast ratios, have analog input signals, and support up to 1024x768 and 1280x1024 resolution, respectively. The NEC AccuSync LCD51V and LCD71V are available in white and black cabinet options.

The LCDs feature Rapid Response for quick response times of 30ms or less and support for as many as 40 fps and are equipped with high-efficiency backlights that reduce heat at the front of the screens and consume up to 70 per cent less energy than comparable CRT monitors. The displays can be easily adjusted with a touch of the controls on the front of the display with the use of On Screen Manager (OSM). They feature a built- in power supply and cable management all within a thin footprint and areoutfitted for arm/wall mounting. NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display's monitors are backed by a
three-year limited warranty including backlight.
